Emma Canning - Flat Friends digital stamps paper piecing

Well last night I started off designing a calendar for next year in CAP but then remembered i had bought some Emma canning digi stamps so started playing around with paper piecing which I am loving. (I'm probably doing it the hard way though)

Well below are my results and then a card I've made too

Trying to add a link for a blog comp

Well today things aren't going so well I only wanted to add a link on a post to enter it into a blog comp and managed to delete the whole post, so frustrating.

So I'm trying again here and lets hope it works this time.

Waste of time

Well I've just spent an hour designing this card for the tag challenge on polka doodles but having just seen some of the other entries not sure I will bother don't think my work is good enough yet.

Oh how I wish I had confidence in myself I wouldn't fret so much then and umm and ah over entering comps

A new skill learnt today

Last night when I couldn't sleep I started to read a blog by truly tango in which a technique for making a mask in craft artist.

Anyway I managed to grab half an hour away from the boys and try it out.

New baby card

Well last night an ex work colleague who has seen some of my card samples on my fb page approached me to do her a new baby card.

Well it got me thinking, and sometimes I'm of the opinion that less is more and the choice of card stock can make or break the card.

So with this in mind I set about creating a cutting file for my cougar and cut the design out using some spotty white embossed card and some pink pearlescent card, below is the result.

Today I'm feeling a little off colour so thought I would sit and do some decoupage.

I just love the images on the Garden delights 2 from cupcake crafting the characters are so cute.

Busy day for me

Well today I had so many jobs to do but not enough time as is always the case.

One of the things I needed to get done is to make a couple of ATC's , the theme this month was pandas.  I love making atcs as they are so quick in comparison to doing a larger card and they are a brilliant way of trying out new techniques.

I suprised myself by creating not just the two required but also a couple of extras which I will give the lady who organises the swap each month.

I'm currently experimenting more using Craft Artist Proffessional, I think its great that I can design every element of a card or project without wasting ink or paper.

you can't quite see from this photo put the frame is raised on 3mm foam pads.

I have always loved this painting so just had to make an atc from it, I felt it was lacking in bling so I matted it on to matt silver mirri and added the faux pearls.

Sweet dreams

Well today sleep has been very much in my mind as my youngest had me up most of the night.

Haven't felt like doing anything much but tonight I have had a play with the free Emma Canning digi stamp from polka doodle dandies .

I am reasonably pleased with the resulting card in which I have used a mix of colouring paper piecing and digital crafting.
