Quick layout using a fab digi from Delicious Doodles

Well today it has turned really cold here, so what better excuse to craft than to stay in and keep warm.

Here's a quick mixed media 8" scrapbook page I have made this morning.

Colouring Sassy digi stamp

Today I have been trying to toilet train my youngest, so as I just had to be upstairs thought I might get some colouring time in.

Here are a couple of different versions, just got to put them into a project now.

This fortnights theme was birthdays and we got to use some fab stamps from our sponsor



I think the penguins were super cute and made several projects from cards to sweet cartons.

For my DT item I decided to enter my sweet cartons which are shaped like milk cartons, the first one I made with a striped background, but then got to thinking what do penguins eat? Fish, so I photographed some jelly sweet fish and used this as a background behind the penguin stamp.

 

I think they turned out ok, but if I was to make them again I think I would make the fold line indicator dots a paler colour.

As I mentioned before I loved the stamp and couldn't stop at just the one project so here are some of the cards I made too,

The photo's don't show it very well but they all have glittered snow and the last one is decoupaged too.

Lovely Free Stamp from Polka doodles

Well tonight I have been sat colouring an image that I got free, to use in the current Polka doodles challenge.(Week 35 - Fairy Time and a free Angelberry Digistamp worth £2.95! )  The image has to be requested by tomorrow via email but the link is on their blog which can be found here.

Artistic Inspirations Use Some Buttons Challenge

Well today is back to work day for me after enjoying the summer break with my boys.

I know we have six weeks break but it really has flown by, I'm finding it really hard to leave the boys again.

Anyway the reason for this blog is over the course of one week I made it onto three different design teams.

So here is my first creation for the Artistic Inspiration challenge blog.

The theme for this challenge was to add buttons, believe it or not I found this really hard, my usual card style is clean and simple (CAS) and usually one layer as I post most of my cards.

After numerous attempts and working with two different images I finally cracked it, but boy did I struggle

Here is my completed card

I'm really thrilled with how her hair turned out as usually my colouring of hair falls flat.

I love to digitally colour my digi stamps as it gives me so much more flexibility with what I can create at the end, I love to add images to canvas bags, cushions and t-shirts.

 

Quick birthday Card
