New Creative Moments challenge

Well it Wednesday which means only one thing it's time for the new challenge to start over at creative moments.

This fortnight we are being sponsored by
Floppy Lattes

Stitchy Bear

I chose the digi stamp that looks like the silhouette of a dandelion clock, our theme was Halloween/bonfire night so I took my inspiration from the colours that are always around, oranges and yellows and made a blended background for the stamp, I also used a leave mask to add some more interest.

Here's my finished card

Practising my colouring

Well I have finally taken the plunge and made the decision to make a determined effort to get to grips with colouring with my promarkers.

Here is today's little bit which is a fab digi stamp from The Stamping Chef she is called Laylah and is available till Thursday.

I think she looks ok, only problem I am finding is my hair always ends up looking red.

Here are a couple of images I coloured last night

Here is Laylah again made up into a card

Creative Moments Challenge 28 Add some Lace/Anything Goes

Well this week saw me working on another Challenge and I got to work with another Sassy Studio Design Digi, I love these stamps so much.

The challenge was to add some lace so thinking outside the box like I do, I didn't immediately think of fabric lace, I thought of paper lace, and just knew that Birds Cards did the most fantastic cutting files that remind me of lace.

I have also noticed recently that loads of designers are featuring shadow box projects so I set about creating a basic shadow box or 3d paper frame.

I then coloured Sassy and decoupaged her onto a spotty background, put this image into the frame and then added my paper lace border to the frame.

The paper frames make a simple project stand out more, I think this one will be getting hung on my bathroom door.

As always I would love to know what you think

Artistic Inspirations Challenge sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs

Well this weekend saw me creating a project for the Artistic Inspirations Challenge # 63

Anything Goes

Sponsor is
Sassy Studio Designs

Sassy Studio Designs

I love Sassy digi stamps they are always fantastic to work with and given that it is my favourite time of year coming up I chose Sassy Witch.

If you have been following my blog you will know that I have already created several projects using this digi (including a iron on transfer for my hoodie, a tea light holder, and decoupaged frame card.

So for this project I decided to make a large  8"x8" card and started with my base paper which was a deep purple with lighter coloured spots,  I then added a background picture and sat Sassy on top.  I then got to thinking about Halloween and it being a time of year for spells so decided to add a scroll with a prosperity spell on. My final step was to punch the background paper.

I'm really happy with the way this card turned out, and would love to know what you all think.

Link up for Pink Challenge blog

I was walking around blog land as you do when I stumbled across the fantastic link up for pink challenge blog.

Link up for Pink is a blog for raising awareness for Breast Cancer, this is fantastic, and it is the third year they have held this event.  The event runs from 1 October to 14 October and has many sponsors from the craft world

As I know a number of peoples lives that have been affected by breast cancer I thought I would make a couple of cards to submit.

I have used a couple of freebies that you can get from the blog, and also a gorgeous Emma Canning Flat friends digi stamp.

A couple of quick Clean and Simple Halloween Cards

Well as I had 10 minutes to myself I thought I would design a couple of CAS cards.

I love this style I don't know why but the white space around a really nice image appeals to me, I still find it difficult to add embellishments to cards I always worry that I am putting too many on.

I would like to enter these cards into the following challenges

    Inspired by Clarity Stamps

Well today I was watching the Clarity Stamping shows on C&C and it set me off thinking would I be able to get a similar effect using my trusty Craft artist software.

I love Barbara's style but can't imagine trying to recreate it with the boys around there would be ink everywhere as they can't resist putting their hands in my crafting stuff, we quite often end up with glitter everywhere.

Always up for a challenge I set to work out trying to imitate the effects that you can get with a stamp and a brayer.

This was my first attempt and I think I may be using this design on some winter wishes cards.

and below is my second attempt

I love the simplicity of the images and can't wait to add them to stick them on some card blanks

I would love to know what you think of them,

    Shoe favour/dimensional card

Just realised I haven't blogged for a couple of days that's the trouble when you have a sick child lol.

Any how I have been doing some crafting my sister-in-law asked me if I could make a retirement  card for a colleague who has a passion for shoes.

I got my thinking cap on and remembered there was a great dimensional shoe on SVG cuts so I set about making it, the lady in question loves black and white and sparkly so I made the base layer of the shoe in matt black card I then used creata black mirri for the top layers, and for the sole and insert I used red card stock and for the insert I sprayed it with crafters companion irredescent glitter spray.  I also added some silver glitter glue around the edges to add definition.  The final step was to add plenty of gems.

For the box I printed a repeat pattern of a shoe digi stamp from Glamoureyes onto kraft card to give it that real shoe box feeling

I hope you like the results

    Creative Moments Challenge Owls/Autumn

For this fortnights challenge over at Creative moments we had the theme of Owls/Autumn.

Now when I look around at the moment I am seeing Owls everywhere so thought I would have a go at an owl card.

I took the digi stamp and did some paper piecing with it.

I then added a wonderful autumn background and some frame layers, and this was the result

Don't forget to drop by and enter a project yourself by clicking here, it's a great challenge and everyone on the team loves to see what you have made
