So not ready for Christmas

Hi all,

Well its been awhile since I last blogged very busy time of year for me both with work and home.

towards the end of Novemeber I was busy producing items for my schools craftfair, and then its the usual onslaught of making cards for special friends and family.


For the craftfair at work I made a selection of luminaires sorry if this is not spelt correctly and they obligatory reindeer food.

So now we are a week away from christmas and I'm still not ready but hey what gets done gets done and anything that doesn't I'm not going to get too worried about.

Digi stamps by me

Well as I have been using more and more digi stamps I thought I would have ago at drawing my own based on my two boys.

Below are some if my images along eith a couple of digi coloured versions.

Well I have been working on a few projects of late one of them being drawing my own lattice cutting files, these files are not only great for cutting machines but can also be imported into CAP2 and used as embellishments or turned into stencils or punches

3d frames today

Well yesterday wasn't the best of days for me for many reasons but I still managed to get a little designing done.

Saw a website that gave a tutorial on how to make 3d picture frames without the need for gluing so thought that would make a great cutting file.

Any way below are my results

Well for once on a Thursday my boys have allowed me a little me time by both having their naps at the same time, really I should catch up on some sleep but don't feel like sleeping so I have been playing with my digi stamps.

Some more playing tonight

Well after a very hectic week at work, managed to have a couple of hours to start playing with another of the fabulous Lil'Bec images by Kat Dunn.

I just adore this little character and hopefully over the next few days I will get further oppurtunities to play with this digi stamp.

Woo Hoo I'm in

Well it was finally announced today that after many failed attempts and becoming very disillusioned I have finally made it on to a DT. 

Such a fantastic team to work with too, and I so love the digi stamps I am working with think I'm going to have a great time designing with them.

I have loved playing with her beautiful digi stamps and soon I will be able to reveal what I have been doing.

How long

Well can't believe how long it's been since I've been on here,

Things have been a little hectic returning to work after the summer breaks, some long term health issues that have meant various drs and hospital appointments.

Anyway I recently purchased craft artist 2 as I loved the first so much and must admit I love this program i am a hybrid crafter convert.

Below are a couple of things I have been playing around with.

I also after vowing never to try again have applied for a dt team waiting to hear how that turns out.

Well suffered yet another knock back today and feel so low, don't think my self esteem can stand anymore so going to give it all up for awhile,

On a positive note have had a lovely few hours at a local show which was much larger than expected and have a fun day planned for tomorrow with my darling boys and hubby.

Emma Canning - Flat Friends digital stamps paper piecing

Well last night I started off designing a calendar for next year in CAP but then remembered i had bought some Emma canning digi stamps so started playing around with paper piecing which I am loving. (I'm probably doing it the hard way though)

Trying to add a link for a blog comp

Well today things aren't going so well I only wanted to add a link on a post to enter it into a blog comp and managed to delete the whole post, so frustrating.

So I'm trying again here and lets hope it works this time.

Waste of time

Well I've just spent an hour designing this card for the tag challenge on polka doodles but having just seen some of the other entries not sure I will bother don't think my work is good enough yet.

Oh how I wish I had confidence in myself I wouldn't fret so much then and umm and ah over entering comps

A new skill learnt today

Last night when I couldn't sleep I started to read a blog by truly tango in which a technique for making a mask in craft artist.

Anyway I managed to grab half an hour away from the boys and try it out.

New baby card

Well last night an ex work colleague who has seen some of my card samples on my fb page approached me to do her a new baby card.

Well it got me thinking, and sometimes I'm of the opinion that less is more and the choice of card stock can make or break the card.

So with this in mind I set about creating a cutting file for my cougar and cut the design out using some spotty white embossed card and some pink pearlescent card, below is the result.
